Why You Deserve to Be Single
Everyone needs love. Everyone longs for love. Everyone wants to feel like they matter in this world. Including me. Including you. We all want to be noticed and loved and appreciated and valued and cared for and admired for who we are. But what we must learn is that we are already whole. Don’t turn to others to receive that validation. True validation is and always will be inside ourselves. Anything that anyone else makes us feel: whether that be love, pride, joy, happiness...you don’t need this in order to feel this way. You don’t need to live in the burden of someone else. They don’t need to live in the burden of you. Always desperate. Always longing. Always craving. All the feelings you want to feel from someone else are inside you and have always been inside you.
It is only that this person has sparked something inside you, has lit the match. But you have the match as well, my dear. And you’ve had the power all along. You can control the fire in your heart. You can add the tinder to the flame. You can keep it burning. Passion. Excitement. Adventure. Intimacy. Affection. Love. You don’t need a relationship to feel this way. You are fully able to fill your life with all these things. You are fully able to fill your life with all these feelings you desire, if you choose to. You don’t need anyone else.
Release the burden off yourself to find “the one” and realize that “that one” has always been inside of you. You don’t need someone else to comfort you at night or kiss you good morning or to make you feel like life is a dream. Life is a dream already. If you want it to be.
Choose every day to fill your life with all those things you feel you’d need from someone else. The things you’d want from someone else. Be proud. Be confident. Tell yourself you’re amazing and beautiful and unique and like nobody else. Tell yourself that you deserve good things in life. Heck, even tell yourself you’re hot as hell if that makes you feel cute and sassy.
Focus on your goals. Find your passions. Watch yourself succeed without needing someone else to pat your back or make you feel worthy. Are you really that lame and needy anyways??? Not this girl. And not you either. You are independent. Free spirited. Crazy. A handful that not many men can grasp. And they sure as hell can’t tame. Work hard, love your life, do what you want, and if someone wants to join the amazing and exciting and passion-filled adventure that is your life, then maybe they will.
But they sure as hell better be worth it.
And they better deserve you. Like, REALLY deserve you.
Because no man, ever, is worth dulling your sparkle.
You are the sunset in the mornings. The crisp breeze on a cool autumns day. The crash of the ocean tides. The roar of thunder. You are life itself.
And any person would be lucky to share even a GLIMPSE into your light....
