You Deserve the Life You Desire

There is so much suffering in the world. So much. And it makes me so sad to know that there are people out there who are struggling and have no one.

No one.

They don’t realize their worth. They don’t realize their dreams are possible. They don’t realize that there is a whole new life on the other side. They don’t realize that their struggles are only going to make them that much stronger, more compassionate, more empathetic, more loving. Deep. They don’t realize that every lesson they learn is the key to their future. Every pain is a messenger for growth. Every single problem in your life gives us a new solution. A new way of living. A new life.

People don’t realize they were meant for so much better. People don’t realize they have so much potential.

We are bogged down by the past. Our hurts, our hang ups, our embarrassment, our guilt, our shame. You do not own your past. It is gone. It is but a distant memory. And all you have is now.

What do you want from your life? Who do you want to be? How do you want to feel? What do you want to feel? Do you want to be single and making 6 figures and live in a high-end city sky rise? Do you want the high profile job and big deadlines and high pressure and action. The excitement. Do you want to live fast and die young, spending your money, living lavishly, having five-star vacations and beach front property and a toupe? Do you want to wear expensive tailored suits and rock diamonds and chains? Do you want to have late night escapades and early morning wake up calls and traffic jams and client emails? Who are you? What do you want?

Maybe you want 5 kids. Maybe you want to live the suburban dream. Maybe you always wanted to be on “Say Yes to the Dress” and take family vacations to Kentucky and spend your afternoons drinking coffee and helping the little ones with their homework. Maybe you want the calmness. The comfort. The stability. The 9-5 husband who gives you a quick peck on the cheek as he gets home, eager to take his loafers off and watch CNN while you prepare another lasagna.

Maybe you want the freedom. Maybe you want to live in a small 2-story apartment or rent out a room on a side street. You want to wear canvas bags and smell like patchouli and eat tortilla chips with hummus. Maybe you want to buy your organic produce from the market and do yoga in the park and sleep on a mattress on the floor. Namaste to you.

Whatever you want for your life, I want to ask you, why not? Why not be all that you want? Why not live the life that you want? Why not break through stereotypes? So you’re a fully-tattooed biker who loves to watch The Bachelorette. So you have a soft spot for romance - so what?

Don’t let others define you or define your life. Only you can decide what makes you happy. What’s meaningful for you. What makes you jump out of bed in the morning, excited and passionate and lively and raring to start a new day.

I want you to love your life that much.

And I’m not saying everyday will be rainbows and unicorns or fluffy marshmallow clouds. But every day will be perfect because you know you are on your path. You are doing what’s true to you. You are manifesting all of your desires. Because you decided to break free.

Bondage kills. Freedom saves. Gratitude saves. Grace saves. Love saves. Passion saves. Compassion saves. As does oneness.

Embrace your oneness with the universe. You are never alone. God is always there to have your back. He is always there FOR you, whether you see it or not. All it takes is one choice to open our eyes. To be brave. To see where we have done wrong, where we have betrayed ourselves, where we have let ourselves down, and to TURN AWAY from the sins that are hurting your heart and closing you off from the world.

You deserve to share your light. There is more than enough room in this world for all of us. One light will not dim another. It will not make the other any less bright. We are all here to shine and succeed in our own right and in our own niche of talents, passions, natures, and opportunities.

You have a God within you, waiting to be shared with the world. What do you want out of life? And now grab it.
