The Beauty of Life

The best moments in life are those that you can't even describe. It's a feeling. A feeling of oneness and connection to the beauty and vastness of creation. It's a feeling of being at home. A feeling that all is well. It's a light and warmth inside your chest that radiates outwards and bubbles up in the way you move and talk and breathe and smile. The way your eyes light up. When I was little I used to read books of magic and adventure. Of secret gardens and hidden staircases and enchanted forests. And then I grew up to believe magic doesn't exist. Magic does exist. Magic is everywhere. The very fact that we are alive today. The trees the flowers the sunsets. The connection you feel to the people you truly care for. No, you can not describe it. But it's what makes life worth living. And sometimes we forget the beauty in the moments. In the now. If we stopped to pause our lives and truly see. To truly open our eyes to the beauty and love that is all around us. We search so hard we try so hard to find significance and purpose and meaning in this world. But we forget to remember the miracle alone that is life. Every breath we take is a gift from God. A breath we can never take again. A moment that is now a memory. What do you want to feel on your death bed? That you truly experienced life or that you were washed away in the grind, staving away to create a life that others wanted for you? Or do you want to say you lived as fully as you could? Maybe we all need to live a little more. To love a little harder. To take that chance. We live in fear of our mistakes. We live in fear of the hurt. We forget the pain will subside. We forget the hurt will heal. We forget the beauty of the empowerment we feel when we finally move on. When we get stabbed in the back, and we pull that knife right back out, bleeding and wounded but still alive. We learn to protect ourselves. We take no shit from those who tried to hurt us in the past. And we refuse to tolerate it from those who hurt us in the future. We become a force to be reckoned with. And nothing and no one will ever hold us back. Because through being powerless we have found our power. Through being abandoned we have found our courage. Through being hated we have found our love. Through our struggle we have found our strength.
