What to Do When You Feel Hopeless

When times are hard, we just need to re-evaluate our mindset and focus on what we love about our lives and what keeps us feeling alive. Spend more and more time focusing on the things that make you feel happy, excited, and passionate to wake up in the morning. Fall in love with your life again and you won’t need anything or anyone else to make you happy. You are beautiful in this moment. You are whole. You are worthy. You are complete. You are valuable and capable and loved. Always. It is always inside you if you take the chance to focus and to listen to your heart and to listen to what really matters to you.

Remember that change takes time. Remember that each small change will add up. And one day you will look back and see how those every-day efforts built you to become who you are today. Never forget the value of the moments. They may seem insignificant now. But trust me, they’re not. They will add up. And you need to be proud every single day. You need to be proud of yourself for being brave enough to wake up each morning and get it done. Day after day. Holding strong despite lack of results. That’s called faith. And faith requires vulnerability.

But in your vulnerability, my dear, is your strength. Your weakness is your strength. You, facing your fears, is the most noble act you can muster. And I’m so, so proud of you. Beyond proud. And it may feel really discouraging. You may feel scared. You may question and tremble and lose sleep. But rest assured, your dreams will come true. God has your back. Rest in the process. Rest in the love that God has planted inside your soul. Never forget that He is always there to support you.

Learn how to feel safe and learn how to feel secure. And there are people on this Earth who can help you too. Keep those people around. Surround yourself with the motivated, the inspired, the joyful, the blessed, and you will feel blessed too. Keep opening your heart and opening your mind to the good in the world. It is there. You are so powerful. You have so much potential. Do what you can today, all you can today; don’t hold back.

It is your God-given right to live this out.
