How to Know What You Really Want

There are lots of things that look like what you want. They can check all your boxes on the outside. But when you have them, they are not what you want. See, what you really wanted was what you thought it would provide. But it’s not. Your feelings are shallow because perception is not reality. You don’t want things you want the feelings those things will give you. Anything you think you want, you don’t actually want that. You want what you imagine it to be. How often and how long we fool ourselves into accepting mediocrity for it is “what we wanted”. If you truly wanted something, you would know. There would be no question no hesitation no guilt. Let go of what you think you wanted and step into your now. Honour your truth in this moment. You can change your mind again and again. Now is not a lie. Your past was not a lie. You are just facing the truth. And it may be hard but you must accept yourself in the now in order to move forward.
